Diet and vitamins in relation to cancer
In general a reducing your red meat and white
flour product intake combined with a high fibre diet appears to reduce
the risk of cancer significantly.
Some quick dietary tips to help to reduce the
risk of cancer,
- Eat more Tomatoes, these contain Lycopene an
antioxidant similar to beta carotene, this can help to reduce the risk
of prostate cancer.
- Eat more Vegetables, again this helps to reduce
the risk of prostate cancer.
- Eat more Salmon or other fish high in Omega-3
Fish Oil.
- Eat more Olive Oil and less vegetable oil,
linoleic acid found in vegetable oils can increase the risk of cancer
by 3 or 4 times. Olive oil is the safer option.
- Eat less red meat, saturated animal fat can
increase the risk of prostate cancer, other foods that may increase
the risk are dairy fat and eggs.
- If you smoke, stop. Avoid tobacco smoke to
reduce your risk of lung cancer, whether active or passive.
- Reduce your alcohol intake particularly in
the form of beer, alcohol has been linked to rectal and colon cancer.

with cancer prevention are Selenium, Vitamin E, Mixed natural Carotenoids,
Calcium, Folic acid, and Vitamin C. Eating a good wholesome and healthy
diet will help to reduce the need for vitamin supplements.
